About the Course

Ultrasonography has gained an important role in the diagnosis of multiple process involving the gastrointestinal system, from chasing a possible foreign body to investigating cases of chronic diarrhoea. There is a wide list of advantages of using ultrasonography, such as allow the visualisation of the portions in real time, assess the motility, the wall layering, guide a needle to obtain samples, etc. However, the main disadvantage of this test is that requires experience and knowledge from the operator. This CPD is directed to those vets with a medium level in abdominal ultrasound who want to feel more confident when performing ultrasound from the gastrointestinal system.
